Baldridge Performance Excellence Program
The Baldrige Program oversees the nation's only Presidential award for performance excellence while offering criteria, assessments, tools, training and a community for those dedicated to helping organizations improve.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology maintains the Baldridge program.
The Baldrige Program
- Raises awareness about the importance of performance excellence in driving the U.S. and global economy
- Provides organizational assessment tools and criteria
- Educates leaders in businesses, schools, health care organizations, and government and nonprofit agencies about the practices of best-in-class organizations
- Recognizes national role models and honors them with the only Presidential Award for performance excellence

- Develops and disseminates evaluation criteria
- Manages the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award

- Administering the Award program
- Creating value for organizations and the U.S. economy
- Executing a business plan utilizing the expertise of the Baldrige community
- Managing six taskforces
- Streamlining processes and reallocating resources to new efforts
